While the electric car is more affordable than the petrol diesel cars and can use for office work or into the cities for doing some personal work, in one charge, the companies are claiming that it will take you 300 to 400 Kilometers.

The main reason for the heavy demand for electric vehicles is because of these high prices of petrol and diesel on which no one is taking the effort to raise a voice.

Tata Nexon EV


As the name, Tata is not just a popular brand in India but the people are attached to it emotionally also. Tata Nexon is the top trending electric vehicle in India nowadays.

Tata Motors claimed that they have sold out nearly 13,500 vehicle units of Nexon EV till now since its launch in January 2020.

For the last couple of months, the Tata electric SUV Nexon EV is registering the best sales performance consecutively among all the electric cars that are available in India.

The Tata Nexon EV offers the around 310 KM range on a single charge. It comes with a similar design to its standard variant, but there are distinctive styling elements.

Tata Tigor EV


Tata Tigor is a single car in India that comes with multiple options in India including the Petrol, CNG, and electric powertrain options.

In India, among the mass consumers, Tata Tigor EV is the cheapest car available that comes with a similar design as the Tigor Petrol and CNG versions.

However, The Tigor EV has some distinctive styling elements like a difference in the fascia and alloy wheels and also the cabin appears with some differences.

Tata claims the Tigor EV offers around 350 KM range on a single charge.

Mahindra e-Verito


Mahindra e-Verito is an electric sedan that has been in business in the Indian electric space for quite some time. The Mahindra e-Verito comes at a budget price of Rs. 12.3 Lakh to Rs. 13.1 Lakh.

The e-Verito compact sedan is available in two variants D2 and D6. Earlier E-Verito 110 KM version was available only for a government agency but, now they have also released the 140 KM variant which is available for Individual customers.

Mahindra e-Verito’s new variant offers around 180 KM in a single charge.

Hyundai Kona EV


Hyundai Kona was the first pure electric SUV launched in India, which offers around 450 KM of range on a single charge.

The range offered by the Kona EV is the highest among the all mass segments of electric cars in the Indian market.

The EV car competes with the Tata Nexon EV and MG ZS EV, however, it comes with a high range price ranging from Rs. 23.79 Lakh.



MG was quick enough to launch an electric car, despite being a new entrant in the Indian car market.

MG ZS EV also comes with a high range starting from 20 Lakh, which offers around 420 KM of range on a single charge.

The Pure electric SUV, comes with an acceleration power of 0 to 100 km in 8.20 seconds only and is powered by a 44.5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack.

Mercedes Benz EQC


Mercedes Benz took the first-mover advantage with EQC all-electric crossover in India. The EQC comes with the highest price of around Rs. 1.05 crore which is available only in a single variant of 400 4MATIC.

Benz EQC offers around 450 KM of range on a single charge which comes with a power of 80 kWh battery.

Jaguar I-Pace


Jaguar launched its first-ever electric car I-Pace crossover in India. The I-Pace competes with Mercedes Benz EQC, Audi e-Tron and many more.

The price range of the I-Pace is also the same as the Benz EQC starting from Rs. 1.05 crore to Rs. 1.12 crore. The I-Pace EV car offers a range of 470 KM on a single charge.

The electric car has capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4.8 seconds. It comes with a powerful battery pack of 90 kWh.

Audi e-Tron


Audi e-Tron has entered the Indian electric car market with its competitors of Mercedes Benz and BMW,  electric car Audi e-Tron comes in two variants.

The electric car comes in a high price range of Rs. 99 Lakh and Rs. 1.17 crore.

The electric car is available in two different battery pack options.

The first variant of Audie e-Tron comes with a powerful battery pack of 71 kWh variant, which has an acceleration power of 0 to 100 km in just 6.8 seconds.

The second variant of the Audie e-Tron comes with a powerful battery pack of 95 kWh variants, which has an acceleration power of 0 to 100 km in just 5.7 seconds.

These two variants of an Audi e-Tron electric car offer 379 km and 484 km on a single charge respectively.

Under the Volkswagen group, Porsche Taycan is the first electric car from a German high-performance luxury car brand, car comes at a price of Rs. 1.50 crore in India.
