Maharashtra Extends Covid Restrictions Till June 1: Know More About The Restriction Revisions

On Thursday 13, just before the two days of ending lockdown in Maharashtra, for breaking the chain of COVID-19, the Maharashtra government extends the lockdown till 7 am on 1st June. In an order chief secretary, Sitaram Kunte said that the restraints will remain the same till 7 am on June 1.

Mandatory Negative RT-PCR test

As per the new order, the additional restrictions are included compulsory negative RT-PCR test reports for any person who is entering Maharashtra by using any mode of transport. Also, the test RT-PCR test report has not to be issued more than 48 hours before the time of entry into Maharashtra.

All these restrictions will be enforced and applicable to anyone who is arriving from any part of the country into Maharashtra as stated in the order. Before the RT-PCR test report is only mandatory for the people who are arriving from the “Sensitive place.”

Restrictions for Transportation

In the case of transportation, there is not more than 2 people will travel along with in the vehicle. If the carrier is coming from outside Maharashtra, they will be allowed with only negative RT-PCR test report issue within the 48 hours only before the entry time, and the test will be valid for the next seven days only, as stated in the order.

Milk collection, transport, and cleaning will be allowed without any restrictions, though its retail sales shall be allowed directed to restrictions required on shops selling with essential items or through home delivery, as stated in the order.

The lockdown restrictions were forced earlier in the state on April 5. Then the restriction was imposed with section 144 till April 15, preventing the gathering of more than 5 people at one place.

The Local Disaster Management Authority (DMA) will keep a strict watch on agricultural markets and APMCs (agriculture produce market committees) to make sure Covid-appropriate behavior, as stated in the order.

IF the local DMA finds such a place that is difficult to manage and ensure discipline, then the local disaster management authority has a right to shut down the place or impose more further restrictions, the government said.

Personnel involved in the airport, harbor services, and transportation of cargo related to medicines or material needed for the COVID-19 care will be permitted to travel in local, mono, and Metro trains, it stated.

The government is strong willing to apply lockdown strictly at any level to break the chain of the coronavirus. As the lockdown impose from April impact in a positive way, the active cases are falling down in Maharashtra and the recovery rate is constantly rising which is a good sign for Maharashtra Prime minister Narendra Modi also praises the chief minister of Maharashtra Uddhav Thackrey and the government of Maharashtra for doing great work in Maharashtra to prevent COVID-19 from raising more and to give good facilities, treatment to the patient.
